Fine sec. XVIII inizi XIX.

Richardson-style spectacles, named after the English optician who invented them around 1797. The frame is made of iron, with a C-shaped bridge and hinged temples. The lenses are double, with negative lenses on the front and green on the sides, which can be placed on top of the first ones by simply rotating them forward. The case is made of cardboard, lined internally with velvet to protect the lenses. They come from Umbria (IT) but were probably imported by some soldier of the Napoleonic army in 1808, when the region was annexed to France (department of Trasimeno). Late 18th/early 19th century.
